Costa Cruises sets sail towards the Nordics

fredag, 22 september 2017

The Italian cruise operator Costa Cruises has an increasing interest in passengers from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark and is therefore about to put a stronger focus on the Nordic markets. In order to get to know the market better, the cruise company made a survey that reveals the travel wishes of people in these four countries earlier this year. To create awareness of the new strategy of Costa Cruises, our team supported the Italian company in organizing a series of on-board events for local journalists, influencers and tour operators in Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo and Copenhagen.

In total, we managed to gather close to 100 guests on behalf of Costa Cruises during the four events. General Manager Benelux & Scandinavia, Ralph Remkes, and Head of Sales Scandinavia, Giancarlo Tedesco, were hosts of the days and told the guests about the survey and its results. Except from in Oslo the events were held aboard the big cruise ships.  After the talk and a tasting of Italian food, the group was invited to experience the impressive cruise ships – both in the public areas and ‘behind the scenes’.

Travel business is a people’s business – and conducting events like these pay off in both the short run in terms of exposure and in the longer run in terms of relations.

Costa Cruises is an Italian company that is part of Carnival Corporation & plc, the largest cruise group in the world. Currently the Costa fleet comprises 15 ships in service, all flying the Italian flag. For more information, please visit www.costacruise.com.
